Football and fantasy fans! We have huge news — Fanton is introducing a new scoring system based on FPL (Fantasy Premier League)!

We're launching FPL scoring alongside the standard Fanton scoring. Now you'll have a choice — play with the familiar system or try the classic format known to millions of fantasy managers worldwide.

💜 What is FPL scoring?
It's a points system based on the official Fantasy Premier League rules. It's simpler and more straightforward — the focus is on key game actions: goals, assists, clean sheets, and bonuses. No minor stats — only what truly decides the outcome of a match.

💜 Tournament format: 7+1
FPL scoring works with an updated tournament format — 7 main players + 1 substitute:

– Goalkeeper
– min. 2 defenders
– min. 2 midfielders
– min. 1 forward
+1 substitute (any position)

The substitution mechanic works as before: if one of your starting players doesn't enter the pitch, the substitute slot earns 70% of the backup player's points.

📊 How are points awarded in FPL scoring?

Minutes played:
– Up to 60 minutes — 1 point
– 60+ minutes — 2 points

Goals (depend on position):
– Goalkeeper — 10 points
– Defender — 6 points
– Midfielder — 5 points
– Forward — 4 points

Assists:
– 3 points per goal assist

Clean Sheet:
– Goalkeeper — 4 points
– Defender — 4 points
– Midfielder — 1 point

Defensive actions (new this season!):
– Defender: 10+ actions (interceptions, blocks, tackles) — 2 points
– Midfielder: 12+ actions — 2 points
– Forward: 12+ actions — 2 points

Goalkeeper:
– Every 3 saves — 1 point
– Penalty save — 5 points

Bonus points:
The top three rated players in each match receive additional points:
– Best player of the match — 3 points

– Yellow card — minus 1
– Red card — minus 3
– Penalty miss — minus 2
– Own goal — minus 2
– Every 2 goals conceded (GK/DEF) — minus 1
