📰 Paper reading club: 3D compression, differential privacy

We come together to discuss advances in computer science, ground them down to applications, and see where to the wind is blowing. Read the papers at your own time and come discuss them with us. This seminar will be held in English.

1. 3D Data Compression
We'll talk about various tricks researchers & engineers came up with to efficiently store / stream various 3D data. We'll cover:

- Basics of Video Compression
- Animation / mesh compression : from GDC and a paper
- For 3D Gaussian Splatting: post1 and post2
- For video NeRFs

2. Differential privacy
DP is a framework for private data analysis at scale used by Apple and other bigtech to facilitate data analysis while minimising legal risk.

- Intro and statistical background
- Adaption to DL
- Validity analyses [1, 2]
- Tightening bounds
