We're doing something different this time: we'll discuss two papers we read at home, and then watch two talks from a recent conference.

Papers of the day:
- An empirical model of large-batch training
- The Hardware Lottery

Talks of the day:
- Topology meets BERTology
- Topology strikes back

We’ll walk through each paper and collectively resolve any unclear spots as we do so. Then we’ll share our perspectives on the subject and figure our how the paper fits into our life.
