U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee condemned the vicious attack on Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine, calling it a “despicable and cowardly act of terror.” Huckabee called for a full investigation, arrest, and prosecution of those involved, noting that Levine suffered serious injuries despite clearly displaying her journalist ID.

علق السفير الأمريكي مايك هاكابي على الاعتداء الذي تعرضت له الصحفية والمصورة في صحيفة "واشنطن بوست" هايدي ليفين، واصفاً إياه بـ"العمل الجبان والحقير"، ومطالباً بفتح تحقيق شامل واعتقال ومحاكمة كل من تورط في هذا الاعتداء الذي أسفر عن إصابتها بجروح خطيرة رغم تحملها لبطاقات تعريف واضحة كصحفية.
