💀 Radix sat on a 3-year-old vault bug, lost $1.3M, then froze the whole chain for 10 days

Radix Foundation came clean on Sept. 17: a June 2023 code cleanup in the Radix Engine planted a vault bug, an attacker cashed it out on Aug. 31, and validators had to freeze the entire chain for over 10 days just to stop it. Total take: about $1.3 million across 26 transactions in 55 minutes. And here's the kicker — the flaw could've hit any vault on the network, not just the bridged stuff that got drained.

▪️ 26 transactions in 55 minutes on Aug. 31: 458,915 USDC + 72,420 USDT ($531,335), 61.08 ETH, 6.35 WBTC, 536.16 SOL, 32.91 BNB — call it about $1.26M.
▪️ The mechanism: that 2023 refactor broke vault reference handling. A tx could name someone else's vault by internal address and hand it straight to custom contract code.
▪️ Then the engine just ran ordinary withdraw functions with zero ownership check. No keys, no signatures — user accounts, apps and LPs were all fair game.
▪️ Assets hopped Hyperlane to Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana, got flipped for ETH. Drained LP pairs then warped prices, letting another account pull millions of XRD.
▪️ Zellic audited the protocol in 2024, engine kernel included. The flaw strolled right through the review and three years of mainnet before anyone even blinked.
▪️ Validators yanked enough stake offline to break consensus and halt the chain 10+ days. Fix deployed, user transactions back on Sept. 11.

For you this wasn't a bridge hack or a leaked key — the execution layer itself stopped checking who owns what, so every vault on Radix was exposed, including tokens with zero bridge exposure. Zellic's 2024 audit missed it, which means 'audited' stays a vibe, not a guarantee. Radix is adding regression tests, tightening review of authorization changes and formalizing the emergency halt it used to kill liveness, and says AI-assisted code analysis may have helped the attacker find a three-year-old defect. Confidence in the engine is the real collateral here.

🔮 Three years, one audit, zero detection — and 10 days of downtime to patch what a 'cleanup' broke. Who audits the audits?

🚔 Seven cuffed in the UAE and Sweden as the on-chain trail snitches on a $7.1M laundry

Cops hit the Emirates and Sweden at the same time and bagged seven people behind an international laundering network that pushed about $7.1 million through crypto. The alleged boss — a Swedish national who fled his homeland and was sitting on an Interpol Red Notice — got detained in the UAE. And the coin-tracing didn't stop at wallets: it dragged the investigation straight into organized crime and murder-for-hire. That's the part of the story the group chat never reads past the headline of.

▪️ Cash proceeds from crimes got collected first, then flipped into crypto — and not because anyone there believes in the tech.
▪️ From there it got routed right back out to other criminal outfits, so the gang money just kept rolling further down the chain. Money doesn't sleep, it only changes tickers.
▪️ Tracing wallet flows plus digital forensics handed investigators financial links to organized crime and murder-for-hire.
▪️ The alleged boss had already fled his homeland with a Red Notice on his head, until surveillance pinned him down in the UAE.
▪️ The other six suspects got detained in Sweden at the exact same moment, with proceedings opened for all seven. One op, two countries, one chain of evidence.

500M XRP walked out of Uphold in 16 minutes — into five wallets born that same morning

Sept. 17, the trackers tag Uphold (12) and it spits out five payments of exactly 100 million XRP in 16 minutes. Half a billion coins, about $649 million, landing in five XRP Ledger addresses that didn't exist when the sun came up. Uphold's own wallet had woken all five hours earlier and dusted them with pocket change before the big bags dropped. As of 05:30 UTC on Sept. 18 — not one payment out. All 500 million still parked there, doing absolutely nothing.

▪️ Uphold (12) fed each fresh address a stepped 60–100 XRP first, then fired the 100M. That's a batch script running down a list, not five guys having five separate ideas.
▪️ All five trace back to Uphold (12). On XRP Ledger an address only exists once somebody funds it — and Uphold (12) itself got activated by Uphold (11) back in June 2025.
▪️ Balance before the five transfers: roughly 1.47 billion XRP. And this is round two this week — Sept. 14, a 145,634,500 XRP ($206M) stack walked out of Uphold (4) into an address seeded with 5 XRP and…
▪️ That Sept. 14 receiver then sat idle for four months. This week's five were created and filled inside six hours. Different tempo, same hand.
▪️ Not one order book got touched. Pure wallet-to-wallet — nothing sold, nothing bought, and XRP didn't even flinch.
▪️ The only other traffic hitting those five: a 0.00001 XRP dust ping from an address that sprayed 109 wallets in under two hours. Spam bot, not a buyer.

📊 XRP price during the moves: $1.29–$1.32
📊 BTC at the same time: ~$76,600
📊 Uphold (12) balance after: ~962.9M XRP
📊 Dust ping each wallet got: 0.00001 XRP

Cold-storage reshuffle or a whale heading for the exit? The ledger won't tell you which — that's the whole point, it's built so you can't know. If it's a client cashing out, 500M XRP behind five brand-new keys is one signature away from being a market event. If it's Uphold, they just capped how much sits behind any single set of keys. The Fed hiked a quarter point a day earlier, first hike since Q3 2023, and XRP shrugged it off like it was nothing. Watch those five addresses. The first transfer out writes the confession.

☕️ BTC tags $77K, Fed hikes, and Robinhood's own chain token does -90%

BTC at $77,500, +1.37%, after tagging $77K on the Fed's first hike since 2023 — unanimous, 25bp — and the market ate it anyway. ETH $2,485.47, +1.81%. Whole board's green.

▪️ ONE +44.2% on $38M, AVA +34.8% on $25M, COTI +27.6% on $23M — pocket-change pumps dressed up as a trend. One whale sneezes and you're the bag holder.
▪️ NEAR +30.8% on $305M and UNI +25.4% on $155M — real money behind those two. That's where the continuation trade lives, the rest is a lottery ticket.
▪️ Losers board is empty theatre: LSK -4%, stables flat at 0.00%. Nobody sold a thing — everything just got bid.
▪️ Fed hiked 25bp, first since 2023 — BTC tagged $77K, then $260M in liquidations ripped longs and shorts alike. Equal-opportunity pain.
▪️ Robinhood told users it doesn't endorse tokens on its own chain. $WALLET went -90% right after. Their chain, their rules, your loss.
▪️ BTC is holding a $1.54T market cap and the whole board is waiting on the Fed's next move — the only catalyst that matters this week.

Fear & Greed printed 56 — Greed, up from 50 yesterday. Translation: retail is getting comfy right as alts pump on $25M of volume, and the Fed just told you it isn't done hiking. Greed at 56 into a hiking cycle is exactly how the bag gets handed to you before lunch. Watch NEAR and UNI for follow-through, treat ONE and COTI as exit liquidity, and remember Robinhood's disclaimer applies to your whole portfolio, not just its chain.

🔮 Robinhood disclaiming its own chain's token 90% down is the most honest thing a broker has ever done.

🔥 Shorts got smoked as Bitcoin kissed $77K after first Fed hike since '23

Bitcoin briefly punched through $77K Thursday and settled near $76,600, clawing back ground from a monthly low printed less than a day earlier. More than a quarter-billion dollars of shorts got liquidated across crypto after the Fed's first rate hike since July 2023. And here's the funny part: the Fed's punch landed weaker than expected against crypto specifically, while equities took the harder hit overall. Contextually, the session looked relatively mild, but don't kid yourself — volatility was swinging both directions repeatedly intraday, and the tape was pure liquidation fuel.

▪️ Fed hiked its benchmark rate by a quarter point to a range of 3.75% to 4% on a unanimous twelve-to-nothing vote Wednesday. Twelve-to-nothing. No dissent. So no, this wasn't some dovish rescue.

📊 Crypto market cap: $2.63 trillion
📊 Fear and Greed Index: 50 neutral

Retail staring at charts doesn't need a Fed sermon. It needs to know who's getting liquidated, where liquidity is hiding, and which way positioning is about to flip. Venues are repricing fast. Liquidity dynamics are changing. Risk-reward is getting rewritten in real time. Portfolio allocations are shifting, trading decisions are getting forced, and the only thing that actually matters is who ends up holding the bag when the music stops. That's the game. You can either read the tape or become the tape.

🔮 Shorts paid for this bounce. Someone always pays. Question is who pays next time. Soon enough, probably you. Honestly, realistically, unfortunately — yeah, probably you.

💀 $230M in USDT for Venezuelan oil evaporated through USB sticks

Polish state energy giant Orlen lost up to $424M after a scheme to buy cheap Venezuelan oil via Tether collapsed. The $230M advance went nowhere, and crypto keys were handed over on USB sticks in Caracas restaurants and hotels. Three former Orlen top managers are already under investigation — they face up to 25 years.

▪️ In November 2023, Orlen Trading Switzerland head Samer Awad met in Abu Dhabi with 25-year-old Hannon International founder Kam Ho “Alex” Tse.
▪️ OTS wired Hannon $230M with no collateral. Hannon was supposed to convert the money into USDT to unlock cargoes from PDVSA, cut off from Western banks.
▪️ First batch: through a Dubai firm, paid $400K commission to buy 80M USDT. Another $135M went to another intermediary — only 85M USDT came out, $50M short.
▪️ In January–March 2024, Hannon reps handed over private keys to USDT on USB sticks in Caracas: 60M USDT (Jan 5), 50M (Jan 28), and another 22M later.
▪️ After the USB handoffs, Venezuelan brokers vanished. PDVSA didn't release cargoes — only one vessel was loaded with ~500K barrels of fuel oil worth $28.8M.
▪️ Orlen terminated the contract in March 2024. Total losses including charter, lawyers and liabilities are estimated at $378–424M.

📊 Advance: $230M
📊 Total losses: $378–424M
📊 USDT shortfall: $50M
📊 Oil loaded: $28.8M

This isn't just a management fuck-up: the scheme shows how USDT turns into a leaky off-chain channel for sanctions evasion — and how easily money goes poof through intermediaries and USB sticks. For traders, the signal: when the big boys move stables off exchanges, tracing the chain is almost impossible, and “safe” Tether becomes the perfect tool for draining hundreds of millions. Next stop is international arbitration in Dubai, but getting $230M back would be a miracle.

💬 «Disgrace in front of the entire world» — Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland

🔮 $230M gone via USB sticks? Seriously? These aren't hackers — these are managers of the year. Who's next to lose millions on a “reliable” stablecoin?

Somebody front-ran the Senate. It wasn't you.

BTC $76,502 (+1.00%), ETH $2,443 (+1.87%) — flat as hell on the surface, and the real money moved underneath it. Fear & Greed is 50, dead neutral, one tick off yesterday's 51. Somebody out there knew something, and it wasn't you.

▪️ SYN +62.7% on $55M is today's lottery ticket — enjoy the bag on the way back down. ZEC +18.6% on $648M is the one with actual size behind it.
▪️ Downside is a snoozefest: LSK -13.0% on $94M, CRCLB -3.1%, HOLO -2.8%, PAXG -0.6%. No cascade, no liquidation porn — just bags quietly changing hands.
▪️ Wallet 0x4553 swapped 866 BTC for 26,924 ETH hours before the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act and BTC slipped under $75,000. Cute timing.
▪️ Lookonchain flagged the trade, noting 512 BTC was swapped with unusually clean accounting. Front-running a vote you can't see is either skill or a phone call — and only one of those is legal.
▪️ Revolut hackers want $3M in Monero inside 24 hours or they dump customer data, and they went straight for users holding big crypto. No payment, no sale confirmed. Tick tock.
▪️ Orlen bought discounted Venezuelan crude with tether, lost $230M of it, and it's now Poland's biggest corporate scandal — the trail ends on USB drives. Tether, crude, USB sticks. Beautiful.

Fear & Greed at 50 means nobody's scared, and that's exactly when the tape hands you the bill. Neutral won't protect you from a Senate vote, a 24-hour ransom clock or a state energy giant losing nine figures on a memory stick. Watch Revolut: that data either gets bought or it gets sold.

🔮 Lucky, or reading the room? That's the whole game, and you're not in the room.

💀 Revolut hackers want $3M in Monero or your data goes on sale

A crew calling itself iamnotavillain just handed Revolut a 24-hour ultimatum: $3 million in Monero (6,000 XMR) or your stolen customer data goes to the highest bidder among other criminal groups. At least 680 accounts got hit, and these bastards specifically hunted for users with fat crypto bags. Yeah, they knew exactly who to rob.

▪️ No brute-force shit here. They posed as government officials and sent info requests that sailed right through Revolut's checks. Social engineering 101, and the bank bought it.
▪️ Targets were picked using blockchain analysis to find Revolut accounts with significant crypto holdings. Translation: if you were stacking sats on there, you were on the menu.
▪️ The stolen data includes passports, driving licences, KYC selfies and transaction histories. The hackers sent the FT a 60-second screen recording as proof. Because why not flex?
▪️ Revolut says it blocked the address used in the requests and notified law enforcement and regulators. Customer funds were untouched — cool story, bro. Identity docs? That's a different shitshow.
▪️ No negotiations have happened so far, according to the hackers. The countdown clock is ticking. Tick-tock.

📊 Ransom: $3M in XMR
📊 XMR demanded: 6,000
📊 Affected accounts: 680+

If you're holding serious crypto on Revolut, your passport and transaction history might already be in some scumbag's Telegram folder. The bank says funds are safe — cool, but identity theft doesn't care about your balance. Watch for phishing attempts using your actual KYC data; these guys aren't amateurs. They're not here to pump your bags, they're here to harvest your identity. Stay paranoid.

Whale dumps 866 BTC for 26,924 ETH — three hours before the $289M liquidation cascade

Wallet 0x4553 flipped 866 bitcoin into 26,924 ether — $64.57 million — on Sept. 15, roughly three hours before the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act and bitcoin slid under $75,000. Lookonchain flagged the trade, and the paperwork was suspiciously tidy: 512 WBTC at $38.64 million plus 354 cbBTC at $26.73 million out the door, ether in at about $2,430 a coin.

▪️ Swap hit in the late-morning U.S. session on Sept. 15 — three hours before the cloture vote that needed 60 and got 49. Zero Democrats voted to proceed.
▪️ EmberCN logged the same trade independently at $2,430 an ether; Lookonchain tagged the wallet as 0x4553.
▪️ Bitcoin broke below $75,000 for the first time since Aug. 20. In the hour around the vote, $289 million in leverage got smoked — 91% of it longs.
▪️ 24-hour body count: $771.82 million liquidated across more than 120,000 traders.
▪️ ETF desks ran the other way: BTC ETFs bled $450.4M — Fidelity's FBTC -$214.8M, BlackRock's IBIT -$161.7M — ether ETFs lost $142.3M.
▪️ He wasn't alone: a $2.7 billion whale sell-off fed the same ether bid, and a mystery seller dumped 167,855 ETH worth $408 million into exchanges this month.

📊 ETH/BTC now: 0.0317
📊 Next resistance: 0.03213
📊 Barrier above it: 0.03426
📊 ETH vs BTC since June low: +32%

Read the trade, not the headline. This wasn't some guy bailing on crypto — it was a guy bailing on bitcoin into ether, and the ETF flows say the desks did the exact opposite. ETH/BTC is up over 32% off June's 0.02525 low and pinned under 0.03213, the 0.382 fib of the drop from 0.04327. Clear it and a decade-long downtrend is genuinely dead; fail and 0x4553 was just lucky. And the CLARITY collapse changed jack: the SEC and CFTC already treat both assets as digital commodities under their March joint interpretation. If you're long BTC on leverage, the weekly close is your tripwire.

💬 «Bitcoin needs a weekly close back above $78,000 pronto.» — Charles Edwards, founder of Capriole Investments

💀 $571M of longs vaporized: Senate buries the Clarity Act, ETFs puke $450M

That 49-50 cloture vote on the Clarity Act just billed crypto bulls $571 million in liquidated longs over 24 hours — the worst wipeout since Aug. 22, per CoinGlass. BTC and ETH traders ate roughly $190 million each. XRP got gutted 10% to $1.30, BTC slid to $75,700, and US spot bitcoin ETFs dumped $450.4 million in a single day — their worst outflow since June 24.

▪️ Cloture needed 60 votes, got 49-50 with a bunch of Republicans voting no — 11 short, 600+ pages of compromise text dead on the floor.
▪️ The killer clause: ethics language barring officials from the crypto business. Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) called it 'too thin,' pointing straight at Trump and his Cabinet.
▪️ Bulls front-ran it: BTC ran from ~$77,000 Monday to nearly $80,000 on reports Trump would cave on ethics. Dems held the line, and the unwind started 24h early.
▪️ Shorts barely got scratched: only ~$100M liquidated vs $571M of longs. XRP longs -$30M, SOL longs -$22M. Everybody was sitting on the same side of the boat.
▪️ 13 US spot funds bled $450.4M Tuesday after +$159.9M Monday: Fidelity FBTC -$214.8M, BlackRock IBIT -$161.7M, GBTC -$44.1M, ARKB -$17.4M, BITB -$12.4M.
▪️ Equities bled harder: Coinbase -9% to $174.42, Circle -9% to $88.26, Galaxy -8%, Gemini -7%. ETH -5% to $2,410, SOL -5% to ~$97; BNB and TRX only -1%.

📊 Biggest prior ETF outflow day: $469M (June 24)
📊 Long wipeout ranking: Worst since Aug. 22

Regulatory momentum just packed its bags and moved entirely to the executive branch, the CFTC and the SEC — the SEC's Reg Crypto framework and tokenized-securities rules are now the only road to the certainty this industry was begging Congress for. The Fed decides on rates Wednesday with traders leaning toward a quarter-point hike, and it lands on a market that just watched its legislative bid die. Fairshake and the other PACs now have to figure out how to treat the no-vote senators before the Nov. 3 election, and a new Congress convenes in January 2027. Translation: your longs are now exposed to a calendar nobody in this trade controls.

💬 «Today, I voted no on the Clarity Act, legislation meant to regulate cryptocurrency in America. The ethics provisions in this bill are simply too thin.» — Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.)

🔮 Bulls front-ran a vote they never had the numbers for. That's not bad luck, that's a positioning error.

$570M of longs nuked, ETFs puke $450M — morning digest

Senate killed the Clarity Act on a 49-50 procedural vote and your longs paid: ~$570M of bullish futures liquidated in 24h, US spot bitcoin ETFs bled $450M — worst day since June. BTC -2.01%, ETH -3.33%, everything red. That's not a dip, that's DC reaching into your account.

▪️ Gainers: LSK +33.8% on $41M volume, ARB +13.8% on $56M. Nothing in our feed explains it — thin books, that's a squeeze, not a trend.
▪️ Losers: XRP -7.5% on $426M turnover, XLM -7.9%, TAO -6.3%, REZ -5.3%. That much volume under XRP means real exits, not a wick.
▪️ Clarity Act died 49-50 in the Senate — that's the trigger under the whole tape; Fidelity and BlackRock funds led the ETF exit. The grown-ups ran first.
▪️ Two wallets silent for over a year moved 14,700 ETH ($36.94M) into OKX on Sept. 14 — coins that cost nearly $57M in 2021, so the whale is selling at a loss (Lookonchain). Not a hedge, a surrender.
▪️ Suspected Robinhood engineers got flagged for insider trading on Hyperliquid — perps are a playground, and the regulation chorus is already warming up.
▪️ Whales bought 240M DOGE (~$20M) in a week while it dropped 9% to $0.08; they now hold nearly 19B DOGE, 12% of circulating supply. Retail sold, whales loaded — shocker.

📊 BTC: $75,864.01
📊 ETH: $2,402.23
📊 Fear & Greed: 51 (Neutral)

Today's PnL was a Senate vote, not your setup — ETF money is walking and nobody is coming to bail the bid. The OKX seller and the DOGE whales are quietly repositioning while retail eats the liquidations. Fear & Greed slid from 69 to Neutral overnight: that's not capitulation, that's a crowd still holding, which makes the next flush cheap to trigger.

🔮 The whale sold at a loss, the DOGE whales bought the dip. One of them is early, the other is your exit liquidity — guess which one you are.

Whales vacuumed 240M DOGE while the price dumped 9%

Whales stacked more than 240 million DOGE — nearly $20M worth — in a single week while Dogecoin bled 9% down to $0.08. Their wallets now hold almost 19 billion coins, which is 12% of the entire circulating supply. And the analyst crowd is already rubbing its hands: bottom's in, boys, get ready for the bounce.

▪️ Big holders keep loading the dip — per Ali Martinez, they added 240M+ DOGE in a week. Nothing subtle about it.
▪️ Their combined bag is now nearly 19B DOGE, or 12% of circulating supply. These aren't hamsters anymore — that's real firepower.
▪️ Dogecoin's RSI has crashed into extreme oversold territory — down to 9. Anything below 30 usually reads as a buy signal. RSI at 9 is the chart screaming in your face.
▪️ Coins are leaking off centralized exchanges: netflow shows outflows clearly beating inflows. People are moving to self-custody, which takes sell pressure off the order book.
▪️ Trader Tardigrade sees a bounce off the lower line of the ascending channel and sets a soft target at $0.093. Next up — a cup-and-handle breakout and the psychological $0.10.
▪️ Cryptollica calls this moment "the calm before the storm" and the best time to buy DOGE in the meme's entire 12-year history.

📊 Accumulated this week: 240M DOGE
📊 What the buy cost: $20M
📊 Whales' total stack: 19B DOGE (12%)
📊 Price right now: $0.08

Classic setup for retail: the crowd dumps on fear, the fat wallets hoover up the coins. If RSI really is pinned at the bottom and exchange outflows keep running, there's fuel for a bounce. But don't kid yourself — those same whales can walk the price up to $0.093–$0.10, or drown it right back if they feel like booking profit on the hamsters who chase the hype. You're not front-running them, you're on the menu. Just pick a side: the one eating, or the one being eaten.

🐋 Two dead-quiet Ether whales dump everything onto OKX at a fat loss

Two Ethereum wallets that hadn't moved a thing in over half a year — and one of them had been sitting silent for more than a year — just woke up and emptied themselves straight into OKX. Combined: $36.94 million. Both hits landed 85 minutes apart. No scaling out, no drip-feed, no cute little test send to feel out the book. Just the entire bag, full send, into the exchange, at a fat loss. Two wallets that had every reason to stay invisible decided today was the day, and they picked the same venue to do it.

▪️ Wallet one: untouched for over half a year, then one move — everything out.
▪️ Wallet two: asleep for more than a year, same exit, same venue, same day.
▪️ Both dumped into OKX, 85 minutes apart, $36.94M combined.
▪️ Not a trim. Not a rotation. Not a rebalance. A full exit — and they ate the loss on the way out.
▪️ Two wallets, one exchange, 85 minutes between them. That's not a mood, that's a schedule.

📊 Combined dump: $36.94M
📊 Gap between the two hits: 85 minutes
📊 Wallet one dormancy: over half a year
📊 Wallet two dormancy: more than a year

Balancer Votes to Kill Itself: $128M Hack, $9M Left for Holders to Split

Balancer, the AMM that got absolutely gutted for $128M in November 2025, is now begging its own holders for permission to die. CEO Marcus Hardt posted a wind-down proposal on the governance forum: the treasury — over $9M — goes back to BAL holders pro-rata, and the whole thing starts switching itself off next month. The product worked. The business didn't. We've seen this movie.

▪️ The hack hit composable stable pools on legacy v2. v3 was a different architecture, but the name followed it into every sales conversation since, Hardt admits.
▪️ DefiLlama numbers don't lie: $1.13M protocol revenue in October 2025, $371K in November after the exploit, $56,781 by August 2026. Straight down. No dead cat bounce, no cope.
▪️ Balancer Labs already shut down in March; the leaner structure cut costs and shipped the promised products, but v3 revenue never grew to replace v2. Shipped and still didn't sell. Ouch.
▪️ Shutdown mechanics: new business development stops, pausable pools go withdrawal-only, unpausable pools keep running with the protocol fee set to zero where contracts allow.
▪️ LPs have until Oct. 30 to get out; from Nov. 1 only withdrawal infrastructure runs and the DAO is dissolved, with up to $400,000 set aside for the transition.
▪️ BAL holders burn their tokens for a pro-rata slice of what's left: first distribution May 2027, then unspent and unclaimed funds, then a final sweep six months later.

📊 Snapshot vote: Sept. 25-29
📊 LP exit deadline: Oct. 30
📊 Withdrawal-only mode: Nov. 1
📊 First treasury payout: May 2027

For BAL holders this is a referendum on Sept. 25-29: vote it down and the current framework stays, the treasury keeps bleeding on a path already tried, and you land in the same spot with less money. Hardt's pitch is basically 'take the refund while it's still a refund.' And the lesson for everyone else is brutal: a hack doesn't need to touch your new code to kill your new product. It just needs to own your name. That's the whole game.

💬 «What did not come was enough revenue. Most of the protocol's revenue still comes from v2, and v3 revenue has not grown to replace it. The product worked. It did not sell enough.» — Marcus Hardt, Balancer Labs CEO

🔮 $9M treasury, first check in May 2027, a burn to claim it. Anyone who's held a governance token through a wind-down knows how that calendar usually ends. Probably not with a lambo.

📉 BTC flat, LSK -55%, Kraken force-liquidates UAE accounts

BTC is stuck at $77,599, down 0.01% and going nowhere; ETH sits at $2,490, off 0.91%. Volume is anemic across the board — the only real action this morning is in the coins getting taken to the woodshed.

▪️ Gainers: XLM +5.6% on $34M, UNI +4.1% on $46M, XRP +2.3% on $336M, ZEC +2.4% on $255M — thin green, no size behind it.
▪️ Losers: LSK -55.4% on $56M is the one worth watching, FIL -7.6%, 牛来 -7.5%, ADA -1.1%, DOGE -1.0% bled out behind it.
▪️ Kraken kills UAE withdrawals for Monero, Zcash, Dash, USDD, Dai, USDS, Ethena USD holders at 14:00 UTC Sept 14; balances force-liquidated Sept 15-25, 2026.
▪️ Abraxas Capital is holding $980M in Hyperliquid shorts — the biggest bearish whale bet on the board right now.
▪️ Bitmine bought another $68M of ETH; holdings near 6M ETH, most of it staked, chasing 5% of Ethereum's supply.
▪️ Trump's $800M World Liberty Financial stake got moved into a vesting contract — 10% mandatory burn, no sales until 2028.

Fear & Greed printed 69 (Greed), up from 57 yesterday — the crowd got braver while BTC did absolutely nothing. Greed at 69 on this kind of volume is exactly how liquidation cascades get built: everyone leaning long, nobody with size to catch the drop. Watch LSK for what a thin book does when somebody leaves, and watch Kraken's UAE window close — the payout currency isn't even guaranteed.

🔮 Kraken won't guarantee which coin UAE clients get back after the forced liquidation. That's not a sell-off, that's a lucky dip.

🐋 Bitmine's ETH bag is now $14.89 billion — and the man is still buying every single week

Bitmine Immersion Technologies scooped another 27,180 ETH last week, hauling Tom Lee's pile up to 5,956,378 coins — roughly 4.9% of every Ethereum in existence. The target pinned on the wall is 5% of supply, and there's one buyer grinding it out every seven days whether you like it or not.

▪️ The cadence is the whole story: they've bought ETH every single week since the treasury strategy kicked off on June 30, 2025. No pauses, no 'taking profits', just a drip feed straight into the book.
▪️ About 85% of the stack — 5.07 million ETH — sits in staking, projected to earn $334 million a year. Lee says it hits $392 million if the whole lot goes through MAVAN and its partners.
▪️ Whole book is valued at $15.8 billion and ETH is only one slice of it — the rest is in the breakdown below.
▪️ Rival SharpLink lined up $200 million of staking through Lido back in August. Strategy went the other way: zero Bitcoin bought in the week to September 13, and $139 million spent buying back…

📊 Bitcoin held: 212 BTC
📊 Cash and securities: $549M
📊 Beast Industries stake: $180M
📊 Eightco Holdings stake: $98M

Here's the bit nobody in your group chat wants to hear: this is the actual bid under ETH right now. Not a narrative, not a chart pattern — a chairman who buys every Monday morning regardless of price. You're long the same asset as a guy who has to keep buying to keep the story alive, and 5.07 million of his coins are staked, meaning they can't be dumped instantly even if he wanted out. He's at 4.9% of supply, so the 5% goal is basically done. The tell is not the price target — it's the first week the buys stop.

💬 «As we enter the final month of calendar Q3 2026, ETH is the best-performing macro asset during the quarter, outperforming the S&P 500 by 5,866bp through last Friday.» — Tom Lee, Bitmine Chairman

🔮 Buying every week isn't conviction, it's a treadmill. The day Tom Lee stops, the bid under ETH just vanishes — and you're the one still standing there holding it.

☕️ Bridge hacker printing fake BTC while you're all distracted by REZ pump

Overnight was dead flat: BTC parked at $77,612 (+0.48%), ETH dripped to $2,512 (-0.37%). Meanwhile, Symbiosis’s bitcoin bridge got milked — an attacker minted billions in unbacked syBTC across several transactions. Just another Tuesday.

▪️ REZ ripped +29.8% on just $43M volume, CVC added +23.5% on $23M — thin-book pumps where you're either early or somebody else's exit liquidity. Pick your side.
▪️ FIL gained +17.8% on $51M turnover; NEAR (+1.9%) and XRP (+0.8%, $110M) are just breathing.
▪️ LSK dropped -15% on heavy turnover — and that's not just noise for a billion-dollar market cap coin…

🔓 Symbiosis's BTC bridge got tricked into printing billions in fake syBTC — and the hacker walked with $336k

Symbiosis's bitcoin bridge just handed some guy billions in unbacked syBTC, and he strolled off with $336,000 in real WBTC. Billions in fake, $336k in actual money. Blockaid caught the mint onchain at 04:28 UTC on Sep 11, 2026; Symbiosis froze BTC routes and dangled a 20% white-hat bounty until Sep 13.

▪️ How it went down: one signed BridgeV2 receive call minted ~2^62 raw syBTC (8 decimals) to a fresh EOA — no collateral, no nothing, the bridge just trusted the signature.
▪️ The exit was pure comedy: same wallet dumped ~4.39 WBTC on Ethereum's Uniswap V4. The rest of that fake supply? Nobody would touch it at any price.
▪️ Symbiosis confirmed it: BTC routes halted, other routes still live, funds clawed back into a team-controlled multisig.
▪️ White-hat offer: 20% of the funds to the attacker, open until Sep 13, 2026. After that, the same 20% goes to whoever doxes him.
▪️ Third time in weeks: Blockstream's Liquid Network lost nearly 4,000 BTC to unbacked assets — crew returned 3,400, kept ~598.5. Nomic's nBTC hole sat for months. Same movie, different poster.
▪️ As of Sunday morning, Sep 13: no post-mortem on where BridgeV2 failed, no final loss figure, no word on whether the attacker took the deal. Silence is a strategy, apparently.

📊 Fake syBTC minted: ~46.1B face value
📊 Real WBTC cashed out: ~$336,000
📊 Recovered to team multisig: ~15 BTC
📊 White-hat bounty: 20%

Three bitcoin wrappers in a matter of weeks, all of them printing coins that don't exist, and it's the exact same playbook every time: the bridge trusts a signature, the attacker mints, and whoever's left holding the wrapped token eats the risk. Symbiosis still hasn't said where BridgeV2 failed, still hasn't published a final loss figure, and BTC routes are halted — so if you're parked in syBTC or anything that routes through that bridge, you're not holding a bitcoin, you're holding a question mark. Now look at the going rate for a bridge bug: Liquid's crew returned 3,400 BTC and kept ~598.5, and Symbiosis is offering 20% to the same flavor of guy. Cheaper to pay the thief than to fix the code, apparently.

💬 «Community alert. Signed BridgeV2 receive minted ~2^62 raw syBTC (8 decimals; face value ~46.1B) to a fresh EOA; same beneficiary dumped ~4.39 WBTC on Ethereum Uni V4. ~$336k realized WBTC proceeds so far.» — Blockaid

🔮 Mint 46 billion, cash out $336k. The bridge never checked the coins existed — and neither did anyone else.

🚨 Feds just froze $938M in scam crypto after Xinbi Guarantee bust — and they're coming for more

So the US Scam Center Strike Force just yanked another $52M in scam-linked crypto in a single day, bringing the total to roughly $938M. The target? Xinbi Guarantee — a Telegram-based marketplace that Treasury says processed over $24B, and yeah, the North Korean hackers used it.

▪️ Xinbi ran an escrow on Telegram — held the buyer's cash until the vendor delivered the dirty work. That meant custom investment scam sites and laundry services, all in one place.
▪️ The feds traced US victims' money straight to vendors advertising on Xinbi's Telegram channels. A federal court gave the green light to seize those channels on Sept. 7.
▪️ They grabbed two payment wallets holding about $12M and went after 47 more wallets tied to laundering on Xinbi's network.
▪️ Treasury's OFAC slapped sanctions on Xinbi Guarantee, plus Singapore-based Safew Technology and Cambodia-based Anwen Technology on Sept. 9 — for providing messaging and payment apps.
▪️ Xinbi started shifting merchants to an encrypted app around June 2025 and rolled out its own crypto wallet via Anwen — just as the heat turned up.
▪️ Meanwhile, US investigators spent two weeks in Madagascar, helping local cops hit 13 Chinese-run scam compounds, process 3,200+ devices, and interview almost 400 arrestees.

📊 Total frozen by the strike force: $938M
📊 Grabbed in a single day: $52M
📊 Xinbi volume since ~2022: $24B+
📊 Wallets seized on the spot: $12M

This is the biggest crackdown on Telegram-based guarantee markets yet — and it ain't slowing down. If you're holding anything that touched Xinbi's ecosystem or similar escrow platforms, congrats, you're in the blast radius. The strike force is methodically tracing victim funds and freezing wallets, so any dirty flow through these channels is now a liability. Expect more seizures as Chainalysis keeps mapping that $16.1B network that excludes Xinbi and Huione. Basically, if you're still playing in these waters, you're exit liquidity for the feds.

💬 «Approximately $52 million of cryptocurrency involved in scam money laundering was restrained in one day, bringing the total restrained by the Scam Center Strike Force to approximately $938 million.» — US Department of Justice

🔮 They seized the Telegram channels, but Xinbi already bounced to an encrypted app in June — so how much is actually left to freeze, huh?
