Interviewer: He [Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Michael O’Flaherty] said that the Danish [immigration] debate isn’t based on facts. What do you say to that?

Mette Frederiksen: That it isn’t based on facts? Excuse me, but what world is he living in? The factual basis for my position is that too many people have come to Denmark. Too many people have come to Europe who don’t know how to behave, who commit crimes. And we’re sick of it. And that’s why they shouldn’t be here. That’s the factual basis. That applies to Denmark. But I mean, just look at a country like France. Just look at a country like Sweden. These are countries that have been partly destroyed because of foreigners.
