The Ethereal testnet competition is officially OVER!
Big congratulations to the top 100 traders, all of whom now have guaranteed day one access to Ethereal mainnet. You are all winners.
Winners will also be receiving a bonus Season 1 points drop, as well as a share of $25,000 in USDe prizes funded directly to their Ethereal mainnet accounts. For the final standings and breakdown of prizes, please refer to the sheet in Doodle's tweet below.
Some interesting observations from the competition:
On average, the top traders made larger, but fewer trades, sizing up with conviction when the time was right. In contrast, traders who made more trades with smaller size ended up performing worse on average. Most traders longed more than they shorted, capturing the upside of the past month’s market rallies.
Our top 3 traders had an incredible run, securing net PNLs of 621%, 575%, and 369%, respectively, in just 3 weeks. Lots of lessons for Doodle and Aether, who both got liquidated within the first week of the competition (RIP).
Once again, congratulations to all the winners! And thank you to everyone who has participated in the public testnet thus far, providing invaluable feedback and helping us battle-test the exchange before mainnet.
