How can I join you?
By attending our meetings, no registration is required.
When and where do you meet?
Every Thursday in room 202, Ostozhenka, 36, if not stated otherwise.
How long are the meetings?
They usually last from 6 pm to 8 pm (18:00-20:00).
Can I join you if I'm not from MSLU?
Yes, but you must write to the club leader (Andrew, @silvestrig) before Wednesday morning to get a pass for the upcoming meeting. The guards are not allowed to let people in without a pass.
What does your club do?
We discuss different topics, share our opinions, practice our speaking skills, learn to overcome social anxiety, find new friends, and have fun. Sometimes we organise events (PowerPoint Parties, tea parties, holiday celebrations, picnics) and collaborate with other MSLU clubs. The members get to be outspoken and creative, the most active ones get benefits from the university.
What do you discuss?
Culture, art, social media, education, the environment, mental health, AI, self-expression... The list goes on.
Do I have to have a certain level of English to attend your meetings?
Not really, but if it's higher than B1, the communication will be easier for you. Not everyone has perfect English, and it's alright. We don't discriminate and try to support everyone.
I attended your meeting(-s) and have something to say.

Somebody was mean to me during the meeting.
Try to solve the problem or stop communicating with the mean person. Let us know if it's serious.
What if I cannot/did not attend every meeting?
It's not a big deal, the meetings aren't linear. We talk about new things every week. Come next time!
I want to chat with the others from the club.

I'd like to help with the club's management.
We have a working team for now, but you may still write to the club leader.
+ Personal issues:
Can the leader speak louder?
I try to, but that's the quality of my voice. Believe me, repeating things annoys me as well.
I looked/waved at the leader, but he ignored me.
Sorry about that, I have trouble memorising faces and often look at the ground. Just call me by the name.
