How to choose (or build) an L2 for your project

Optimism, Loopring, Boba Network, Linea, Scroll, Taiko, and others — the world of Layer 2 solutions is brimming with options.

Amidst this overwhelming sea of choices, how can you choose the right one?

Vitali Dervoed, CEO at Composability Labs, advises to determine the following before embarking on your project:

1️⃣ Project's focus: Is it DeFi, NFTs, or the Metaverse?

2️⃣ Target audience

3️⃣ Business model: Transaction and development costs, market size, etc.

4️⃣ Scalability: Your annual market growth, tech capacity, etc.

5️⃣ Team (Human Resources) availability

6️⃣ Stack: Solidity, Cairo, Move?

Once you have all those, it’s time to consider this:

— Infrastructure: Indexers, Oracles, Wallets, etc.
— Liquidity
— Community: Degens, Institutions, NFT
— VC scene
— Ecosystem Potential
