One year of us. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
One year of finding a home in another person, of learning that love is not always grand or cinematic, but often found in the smallest, most unassuming moments; in laughter that comes too easily, in glances that say more than words ever could, in the comfort of simply knowing that you are there.
Daniel, if I could preserve a single feeling from this past year, it would be the feeling of being loved by you. You have brought a kind of tenderness into my life that I did not know I was searching for. You have made ordinary days feel significant, difficult days feel a little more bearable, and beautiful days infinitely more beautiful.
Looking back at us, I realise that my favourite memories were never about where we were or what we were doing. They were simply the moments in which I was beside you, laughing, wandering, talking about everything and nothing, and quietly becoming us. Thank you for choosing me, for understanding the parts of me that are difficult to explain, for loving me with patience and intention, and for making me feel that I never have to face life entirely alone.
A year has passed, and somehow, I still look at you with the same disbelief; that out of all the people in this world, I found you.
And if this first year has taught me anything, it is that I do not simply want a lifetime of extraordinary moments. I want a lifetime of ordinary ones, as long as they are with you.
Happy first anniversary, my love. Here’s to everything we have been, everything we are, and everything that is still waiting for us. I love you, more than anything, and somehow, more with every passing day.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
