In a statement, it blamed Washington for the escalation, accused US forces of deceiving commercial shipping managers and insurers and paying “huge bribes” to bypass maritime rules in the Persian Gulf, and warned that shipping companies “deceived by the US aggressors” will be sanctioned. It also said Iran has not allowed and will not allow the presence of aggressive armies in the region, and that these incidents would “increase day by day” if US interference continues.
