🇷🇺🇦🇫An Afghan Taliban military delegation attended Russia’s Center-2026 exercises at the Chebarkulsky range in the Urals. The delegation was led by Mawlawi Nasibullah “Madani,” commander of the Abdullah bin Masoud joint training command, and was invited by Moscow.
Afghan defense officials said the group watched the practical phases and an equipment display featuring heavy weapons, drones, long-range missiles and robotic systems, and met officers from Russia, Belarus, China and North Korea. It was the first time a Taliban military delegation had been invited to Russian exercises since the movement took power in Afghanistan in 2021. Russia is the only country that formally recognizes the Taliban government, and the two sides signed a military-technical agreement in May.
