🇫🇷Five people have been charged in France over allegations that they routed money through humanitarian groups to a third party seeking to raise funds for Hamas, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office said. A judicial inquiry was opened on Friday into financing a terrorist organization, with possible breach of trust and money laundering linked to a terrorist group.
The five were detained on Tuesday by the General Directorate for Internal Security. Three were placed under judicial supervision, and prosecutors sought pretrial detention for the two association presidents; one was remanded in custody pending a postponed hearing he had requested, while the other was placed under judicial supervision.
