🇬🇧 The United States has deployed two additional Patriot batteries to Saudi Arabia and Qatar to protect key oil and natural-gas facilities, according to Axios, which cited two U.S. officials and a regional source.

One battery was sent to Saudi Arabia last month to defend a key oil facility, and another was deployed to Qatar to protect a natural-gas facility. The moves come as the U.S. prepares for the possibility of renewed military operations against Iran and amid concerns about possible Iranian retaliation against Gulf energy infrastructure.
