🇦🇪🇮🇱🇯🇴🇸🇦 An Israeli official stated there were suspicions that a pilot might have attempted to crash a Flydubai aircraft flying the Dubai-Tel Aviv route, before the other pilot—with the help of Israeli passengers—managed to subdue him.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737 carrying approximately 150 Israeli passengers, landed in Tabuk, in northwestern Saudi Arabia, after disappearing from tracking systems for several minutes. Air Force fighter jets were immediately deployed, while passengers and crew subdued the attacker.
The Boeing 737-8 descended 18,400 feet in less than two minutes and exceeded its maximum operating speed by nearly 100 knots.
