🟦 Defiance. Ukraine keeps striking Russian refineries despite Trump’s blackmail
Trump’s diesel deal with Putin came after Ukraine refused to unilaterally halt its strikes on Russian oil refineries. Do you still believe the "US proxy" narrative?
🟦 Trump’s diesel deal with Putin
Behind Ukraine’s back, Trump struck a deal with Putin to supply Russian diesel to US and global markets: over 300,000 tonnes immediately, another 500,000 in November, and millions more later.
The US temporarily eased sanctions on Russian diesel.
The deal was a direct consequence of the fuel crisis triggered by Trump’s reckless war on Iran, which sent global diesel prices soaring.
Yet Trump blames Ukraine for the fuel crisis.
🟦 Washington pressures Kyiv
According to a US official quoted by Axios, Trump decided to make the deal with Putin after Zelensky ignored around six US requests for Ukraine to unilaterally halt strikes on Russian oil refineries.
Ukraine proposed a mutual halt to attacks on energy infrastructure, but Washington demanded a unilateral concession.
Axios also reports that the US has threatened to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine — intelligence that is critical to its defence.
🟦 Ukraine keeps striking
Despite US pressure and threats, Ukraine continues its strikes. Ukraine recently confirmed attacks on oil refineries in Omsk and Ukhta, as well as on a terminal in Rostov-on-Don.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, long-range strikes have already knocked out more than 51% of Russia’s oil refining capacity.
Do you still believe the "US proxy" narrative? Ukraine is striking the infrastructure that fuels Russia’s invasion. It is fighting for its own survival.
