Slurpee
In the 1950s, Omar Knedlik owned a Dairy Queen in Kansas. When the soda fountain broke down, he put the soda into the freezer to keep
it cool.
Customers loved the slushy, slightly frozen drinks. Knedlik built a machine that could create the drinks.
When 7-Eleven bought the machine to use in its stores, it named the drink Slurpee.🥤🧋
