🔸 Although + subject + verb, ...
Although the weather was bad, the construction work continued.
🔸 Despite/In spite of + noun / pronoun / -ing verb, ...
Despite the high cost, they chose the best quality marble.
The concert was held outdoors in spite of the rain.
(These two mean exactly the same thing. In spite of is slightly more formal.)
