AU (Alternate Universe): Placing an existing character in entirely new settings.

In the broader roleplay community, if you run an NSFW account using a specific muse or faceclaim while building your own personality, backstory, relationships, and storyline around them, then you are essentially operating as an OC (Original Character) roleplayer.
A lot of local Indonesian RP spaces tend to associate “OC roleplay” with people who publicly post detailed character lore, timelines, or story content on public (e.g., channel). But outside that culture, OC plotting doesn’t necessarily have to be public to be considered valid. Many OC roleplayers build entire storylines privately through DMs with trusted writing partners instead of posting everything openly on their timeline.
At its core, OC roleplay is less about whether your story is publicly visible and more about whether you are creating an original identity and narrative around the character you portray. Even if you use an existing muse as a faceclaim, you enter OC territory the moment you build your own personality, relationships, dynamics, and storyline around them.
