To a place long since antiquated.” The battlements ascend like unfulfilled pledges, while ensigns embroidered along emblems of grandeur flutter beneath the passing zephyr, recounting the splendour of a bloodline long devoured by the abyss of time. (Come / remain / dwell.) Along the stone-paved corridors, the penumbra of tapers embraces sheets of vellum: spilling aureate gleams upon ink-veiled script.
