Present simple is called like this for a reason, haha:D it shows that the result of an action is NOW either visible or just important/impactful.

I have lost my keys (present perfect) = i don't have my keys now and i cannot open my door, hlep plese
I lost my keys (past simple) = just a fact from the past which is no longer impactful. maybe this person found their keys later on.

oh well, it can also show that a person is still alive!
William Shakespeare wrote many plays that became famous (past simple) = Shakespeare lived centuries ago, he is no longer alive and cannot write any new plays. All his actions are a memory of the past.
J.K.Rowling has written many Harry Potter books (present perfect) = Rowling is still alive and will probably write even more Harry Potter-related books. but for now we are highlighting the current result.
