Ultimately, such a decision may prove detrimental to Egypt’s own interests. Time will tell whether this course of action serves Cairo’s national interests or merely deepens its strategic vulnerabilities. More importantly, if the conflict fuels internal divisions and further destabilises the country, it could create additional opportunities for Netanyahu and his nexus to advance their regional objectives.

Nevertheless, if Egypt has chosen this path, it must be prepared to bear the consequences of its decision.
