— It is obviously not in Saudi Arabia’s interest to leak news that it is receiving Israeli support in its aggression against Yemen. But it is even less in the Israelis’ interest to leak the same news.

What are they trying to say? That Saudi Arabia is being defeated like this despite Israel’s support? This links Israeli support to defeat and reinforces the reputation that the Israelis.

Brother, every now and then one of them comes out saying, “Yes, Israel is supporting Saudi Arabia in its aggression against Yemen,” with an inexplicable level of confidence, as if you would think they brought Bruce Lee himself with them. Then, in the end, they get humiliated just like every other time. Fine, sir, let them support you, and let everyone who wants to join in do so. Yemen will, as always, take care of all of you together.

And imagine this: an Islamic country that presents itself as a leading power in the Muslim world, controls the the holy sites, hijack and fund major streams within Sunni Islam, and has long exercised enormous influence over mosques and religious institutions worldwide, is now reportedly receiving open support from Israel.

The very fact that such cooperation is being discussed so openly raises serious questions about the political and religious implications of this relationship.
