🇾🇪 | Sanaa forces reached the outskirts of Taiz yesterday from more than one direction, prompting anticipation of the city’s fall, which would constitute a new blow to Saudi Arabia in Yemen. While maintaining their presence at the eastern and western gates, Ansar Allah advanced towards Taiz’s southern gate, placing the factions affiliated with Riyadh before difficult choices, given that a number of them continue to refuse to hand over the city without a fight.

A local source in Taiz, speaking to Al-Akhbar, indicated that the Sanaa government is calling for bloodshed to be avoided and for cities and major population centres to be spared military confrontations. The source added that the government had granted the mercenaries the right to leave Taiz safely, with guaranteed security for those wishing to remain, and confirmed that the general amnesty decision covers everyone, except those who have committed crimes and against whom specific claims have been filed.

The source also pointed to divisions among the factions in the city, revealing that a number of military, political, and partisan leaders had left Taiz with the green light from Ansar Allah and under the protection of its forces, arriving in the cities of Aden and Marib.
