🇮🇷/▫️ | Names of 35 revolutionary MPs calling for Araghchi’s impeachment published:

According to Iran’s parliamentary rules of procedure, the impeachment process against a minister can be initiated if at least 10 MPs request it. In the case of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the number of MPs supporting impeachment reached 35 at the initial stage.

The request for Araghchi’s impeachment, signed by these MPs, has now been submitted to the Parliament’s Presiding Board. Under the rules of procedure, the board must arrange a meeting between the MPs requesting the impeachment and the foreign minister within a maximum of 10 days.

The report says that such a meeting has not taken place even once during the 12th Parliament under Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s leadership. It further cites numerous experts who argue that the current Parliament, under Ghalibaf’s leadership, has set a record for violating laws and its own internal rules of procedure.
