🇾🇪 Yemen
— AnsarAllah forces have taken control of the Al-Dhubab area at the entrance to Taiz. Yemeni forces also reached the Al-Hangar checkpoint at the western entrance to Taiz, where fierce clashes erupted with Saudi-backed forces.
— Yemeni forces captured Red Hill after taking control of the Al-Hangar checkpoint. They subsequently advanced toward Najd al-Qasim, where Saudi-backed forces were reportedly encircled alongside forces in the Al-Masrakh area.
— Yemeni forces took control of the Najd al-Qasim junction and advanced toward Al-Masrakh from two directions after encircling the area.
— Battles were reported between Yemeni armed forces and Saudi-backed forces around Dhubab Airport.
— Yemen’s Foreign Ministry said that the deaths of dozens of people, hundreds of injuries and destruction of infrastructure had placed the armed forces before the responsibility of responding.
🇮🇷 Iran
— Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke by telephone with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, congratulating him on his birthday and wishing prosperity for Oman and its people. Pezeshkian stressed the importance of continued cooperation, stronger bilateral relations and sustained consultations to consolidate regional peace and stability. He also invited the Sultan to visit Tehran. Haitham thanked him for the invitation and reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to supporting regional peace, tranquillity and stability.
— Iranian Army Chief of Staff and Coordinating Assistant Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said: “We struck enemy ships, and if any movement against Iran occurs again, we will target them again.” He added that Iran possessed capabilities recognised internationally and would continue defending the country and striking adversaries wherever necessary. Sayyari also said the Iranian people had demonstrated their determination to defend Iran’s territorial integrity, the revolution, dignity and honour.
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia
— Reports indicated that Saudi Arabia’s Taif Airport had closed following the closure or disruption of Jeddah and Dammam airports.
— Jeddah Airport was reportedly closed for approximately an hour and a half, with 17 aircraft said to be stranded in the air.
— The Saudi-led coalition reportedly said that a ballistic missile struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, causing a fire inside the terminal. Separate reports also described missile strikes and fires at the airport.
— Saudi Arabia’s Education Ministry ordered schools in Riyadh to switch to remote learning for one week following the deadly airport attack. Reports described this as the second such measure in less than a month.
— Reports said the United Arab Emirates had extended the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until the end of October. Flydubai also cancelled its flights to and from Tel Aviv for the remainder of the month.
🇱🇧 Lebanon
— Israeli artillery shelled the area between Beit Yahoun and Baraashit in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces also carried out machine-gun fire toward Konin.
🇮🇷 Iran
— Iranian authorities announced the arrest of a three-member team linked to Jaish al-Adl in Chabahar. According to the supplied report, the group was allegedly planning attacks on the Negor border regiment and several outposts. Weapons and ammunition were reportedly seized from a hideout associated with the team.
