Enemy Watch — Official 🇾🇪 ❌ 🇸🇦 | Yemen and Saudi Arabia War Updates: (9-10 October) (Mostly Breaking Updates) — Saudi Arabia | Jeddah airport air-traffic disruption: Multiple flights were reported to be holding over Jeddah amid an ongoing AnsarAllah missile and drone attack targeting…

— Saudi Arabia | Wider airport closures: Riyadh airport was closed for around five hours.

Kuwait Airways suspended flights to Riyadh, Pakistan International Airlines suspended Riyadh flights in compliance with the Yemeni Armed Forces’ air-blockade orders, and Flydubai cancelled flights to Riyadh, Yanbu and Abha because of the security situation. Operations were also halted or disrupted at King Khalid, Dammam and Abha. Najran and Jizan airports were reported closed for more than 83 hours.

— Saudi Arabia | Continuing airspace disruption: Reports said aircraft over Riyadh changed destination to other airports, with the last aircraft landing around an hour before operations were halted. Explosions were reported in Riyadh following the missile attacks, while repeated disruptions continued to affect Saudi aviation.

— Saudi Arabia | Energy facilities: A massive fire and thermal anomaly were reported at the Shadqum gas plant, with smoke also visible from the Shaybah oil-field area. Separate reports indicated smoke over the Ghawar oil field following possible Yemeni attacks. The supplied reports gave different estimates for the power output associated with the Shadqum facility, including 616 MW and 236 MW compared with normal levels reported at 69 MW or 19 MW. These figures should therefore be retained as separately reported figures rather than treated as a single confirmed measurement.

— Saudi Arabia | International assistance: Saudi Arabia reportedly asked Italy for formal assistance in defending its territory against Yemeni attacks, indicating the growing pressure created by the continued Yemeni missile and drone operations.

— Yemen | Further targets: Yemeni armed forces also targeted Aden airport and Saudi-backed mobilisations in Aden. Reports said Yemeni forces continued issuing warnings to aircraft and maintaining the air blockade while Saudi-backed forces attempted to regroup.
