— Secretary-General of the Iraqi Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, Hajj Abu Alaa al-Walai, condemned america’s sanctions against the International Criminal Court. He said: “The American imposition of sanctions on the International Criminal Court is a disregard and contempt for international laws and norms.” He added that the decision came within the context of what he called the American “thuggery” approach and once again revealed the extent of the contradiction in america’s discourse regarding justice and the rule of law. He said: “The message Washington wants to convey is that it is above the law and accountability.”
