Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said Yemeni forces repelled several attempts by Saudi forces to advance toward Bab al-Mandab, forcing the mobilizations to retreat without making any progress.

According to the statement, the Saudi troop concentrations attempting to advance toward Bab al-Mandab were targeted with 10 ballistic missiles. Yemeni media also released footage it described as air operations against Saudi forces on several fronts using locally manufactured Shawaz attack aircraft, dated October 6, 2026.
