📡 | The damage and fire at the site where the US Air Force’s KC-135R refueling aircraft and E-3G Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft were located remain clearly visible. The two aircraft were reportedly destroyed in a combined missile and drone attack by Iranian forces in late March 2026. Ground images released in September 2026 also confirmed the extent of the damage to the E-3G aircraft.

In addition to the aircraft, several US military facilities at the base suffered serious damage or were completely destroyed. These included troop accommodation areas, equipment hangars, and a hangar used for C-130 aircraft.

A report by the Inspector General of the US Department of Defense, published in September 2026, estimated damage to military equipment at approximately $3.7 billion and reported damage to or destruction of nearly 60 aircraft at various US bases across the region.
