Imam Mujtaba Khamenei’s letter yesterday was clear, as he openly indicated the possibility of choking both the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb and expanding attacks across the Red Sea. The IRGC also spoke of targeting any vessel linked to Israel, even in the Indian Ocean, along with many other possibilities. If such an escalation takes place, it will become increasingly clear that the UAE, particularly Dubai, could face significant economic and damaging consequences.
