In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Allah the Almighty said:

“And those who disbelieve, their patrons are the Taghut.”

What the Iraqi government has done by blocking the path of the visitors of the Commander of the Faithful and Imam Husayn the Martyr (A) has made the current Iraqi government a humiliated tail of the American Taghut, just like the other tyrants who ruled Iraq. This strips it of all elements of religious legitimacy.

Therefore, if this government insists on its tyrannical policy and its complete submission to the American Taghut, then it is no different from the other unjust tyrannical regimes, and all rulings concerning the Taghut apply to it.

It is forbidden for Muslims to deal with it as a legitimate system. Rather, its ruling is like the ruling of the Umayyad regime and similar regimes that were hostile to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his pure Household. It is among the tyrannical rulers whose authority must be avoided.

Allah the Almighty said:

“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], ‘Worship Allah and avoid the Taghut.’ And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was deservedly decreed. So travel through the earth and see how was the end of the deniers.”
