🇮🇷 🏴| IRGC announces martyrdom of Saravan operational commander and head of intelligence of Saravan Base:

The Public Relations Office of the Qods Operational Base of the IRGC Ground Forces stated:

“The martyrdom of the commander of the Shahid Sajjad Operational Base in Saravan: During the latest operation of the fighters of the Qods Operational Base of the Army of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Saravan region, the brave and popular commander of the Shahid Sajjad Operational Base in Saravan County, Brigadier General Haj Hossein Zarefi, a dedicated and hardworking commander of the Army of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, attained martyrdom after more than a decade of honest and selfless service in the southern region of Sistan and Baluchistan Province.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced the martyrdom of First Sergeant Ahmad Zeraati, head of intelligence at the Saravan base, during intense clashes with terrorist elements in the eastern border region.

According to a separate report from MES, after the terrorists had been eliminated, General Zarefi personally entered the compound to check whether it had been fully cleared because of concerns that the area might still be dangerous. Soldiers accompanying him reportedly said that one of the severely wounded terrorists pulled a weapon and shot the general as he was the first to enter the compound.
