After decades of experience and observation, I cannot recall any country in the region that appears as weak and confused as Saudi Arabia does today. The state looks enormous, with enough air in its chest to project power, but in reality it is as fragile as a lemon on a stick. Its strategic position is extremely weak. It cannot comfortably sit with any side, nor can it secure lasting support from anyone. Every time it finds itself in trouble, America conveniently arrives with another arms package, another fighter jet deal, and another opportunity that benefits Washington's economy more than Riyadh's security.

The blockade has become one of Saudi Arabia's biggest burdens. The so-called Makkah agreement is turning into the curse of Makkah. It tried to create angry allies by cutting oil supplies to Europe, but Europe has alternatives. Thousands of Saudi-backed mercenaries have been burned through in Yemen, battle after battle, brigade after brigade. Now comes the time for regret and the realization that the very forces on which Saudi Arabia spent billions were either ineffective or collapsed under pressure. Many of the brigades proved to be little more than fabricated formations that kept draining Saudi money and weapons, many of which are now in AnsarAllah's hands. Those who understood the battlefield surrendered and accepted AnsarAllah's amnesty.

Saudi Arabia also has to understand the cost of this war at home. Continued damage to its infrastructure would have devastating consequences for the ZIOdom. The only realistic option is to completely remove the blockade on Yemen, step back from the war, and pursue a different course before the cost becomes irreversible. It is better to do it now than to enter history as the biggest loser of this war. Even PAKjeet's cries for you won't save you.
