⚓️ | Dive-LD: The U.S. Navy’s new autonomous submarine:
Dive-LD is a new Large Displacement Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV) developed for the U.S. Navy.
The unmanned underwater vehicle was originally developed by Dive Technologies. After the company was acquired by Anduril Industries, development of the platform continued under Anduril.
The first Dive-LD unit was delivered in April 2025 to the U.S. Navy’s Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Squadron One (UUVRON-1) for operational testing and evaluation.
According to the information released, Dive-LD is one of the newest autonomous underwater systems in the U.S. Navy’s fleet and is designed for long-endurance underwater missions without a crew onboard.
