On the heels of the “Celebgate” hacker's guilty plea, cybercriminals have allegedly stolen intimate photos of Adele, Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles.
Tripwire's Director of IT Security and Risk Strategy Tim Erlin told SCMagazine. com via emailed comments this likely won't be the last time celebrity photos are targeted in cyberattacks. Google have tried to solve this problem through various minor and major updates but still the read speed is 3 times slower than the speed of non-encrypted devices. It’s nothing to be proud of when comparing with 2013’s iPhone 5S who’s encryption does not appear to have any significant performance impact.

Yahoo! has gone partially password-free with the stable release of a second-factor account sign-in tool that uses push messages to identify users. The mechanism first launched in October for Yahoo! Mail allows users to log into other Purple Palace apps including Messenger, Finance, Fantasy, and the Sports app on iOS and Android handsets. Users signing in to Yahoo! properties without a password on their computers will after activating the feature receive a push notification on their registered handsets. New details of the Paris attacks carried out last November reveal that it was the consistent use of prepaid burner phones, not encryption, that helped keep the terrorists off the radar of the intelligence services.
As police pieced together the movements of the attackers, they found yet more burner phones: "Everywhere they went, the attackers left behind their throwaway phones, including in Bobigny, at a villa rented in the name of Ibrahim Abdeslam. When the brigade charged with sweeping the location arrived, it found two unused cellphones still inside their boxes." We are closely following the case of the Apple vs US gov battle. So what do we know so far?
The government states that the iPhone 5C is protected with a numeric password, so it can be cracked via brute force attack in about several days, but Apple doesn’t want to break into iPhone physically. Alternatively, the company suggested that the FBI leaves the device in the proximity of a known Wi-Fi network. It would make the iPhone produce a cloud backup into iCloud. Unfortunately, there was one final assumption that was not met: the user’s Apple ID password is not changed or reset. However, changing the Apple ID password prevented the iPhone from producing a cloud backup. With no possibility of making a cloud backup, the FBI goes back to Apple, asking the company to comply with the court order.
