✦ ONE MORE LIGHT WITHIN THE HAVEN

Somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow, Egeft's Jang Wonyoung has arrived at another beautiful turning of time. So tonight, we leave a little light burning beneath our roof, not to mark the passing of a year alone, but to celebrate every little piece of you that made it this far.

May the world never convince you to dim what makes you luminous, and may every unfamiliar road eventually lead you somewhere kind.

And to those who wear Jang Wonyoung as their muse, happy birthday. May time treat your soul with tenderness, may every road grant you somewhere peaceful to wander, and may the doors you seek always open into warmth.

Sunday at Egeft came with two missions: grocery shopping with Mamim and gardening with Uwa and Uncle (they choose). While Mamim was busy filling the cart with everything we could possibly need for dinner, the garden crew stayed home and somehow managed to turn a simple gardening afternoon into a full-blown bubbly adventure. “I leave for groceries for one hour and come back to this?” I said, staring at the soil, the scattered tools, and a bunch of innocent faces pretending nothing happened. 🤦🏻‍♀

The garden was officially a mess, Uncle watching the kids get wild while yapping, and Uwa had somehow become part of the gardening disaster herself. Still, despite all the chaos caused by gardening with Uwa and Uncle (& Sugeng), the house was filled with the kind of laughter that makes every little mess worth cleaning up. By evening, we were all gathered around the dinner table, sharing food, stories, and our very different versions of what actually happened that afternoon. 🥳
