Egyptians worshipped the baboon, the Yahudi baboon was sacred. My guess is the Egyptians created the baboon from dinopithecus DNA mixed with dogs, which is where the name Canaan comes from. Ninhursag mixed baboon into the neanderthal later, to subdue the neanderthal. I've covered it all on both these pages:
