As I said before, I'm not against big patches. What you're talking about here is a big patch. What I'm against is this:

Someone plays against an opponent who uses power shots and lose, then spends the rest of the month spamming social media asking for a patch to nerf them.

This is cringe and you can't build a game based on this type of feedback.

Let's say EA nerfs power shots, and then that same person loses against a 433 tiki-taka. Are we going to nerf 433 tiki-taka next? It's just stupid.
