Earlier today, Google’s Threat Intelligence Group, working alongside the FBI, DOJ, and other partners, disrupted the NetNut (also known as Popa) residential proxy botnet.
However, it appears the FBI and the DOJ seized the wrong domain during the operation. The FBI seized netnut[.]com, but the Internet Archive does not show that it ever hosted the NetNut proxy service, while netnut[.]io, the service’s primary domain, remains online.
