😎 New from Alibaba
Alibaba introduced its first wearable device → the Quark AI smart glasses. Named after the company’s virtual assistant, the glasses aim to be slimmer and more practical than competing models, with arms reportedly 40% thinner than the industry average.
Built on a Snapdragon AR1 chip and running both Android and RTOS, the device is designed to avoid common pitfalls of similar wearables, including bulky design, poor battery life, and limited functionality. Quark AI integrates seamlessly with Alibaba’s services: users can make payments via Alipay, compare prices on Taobao, and access real-time navigation through Amap.
Sales are expected to begin later this year, but no specific release date has been announced.
