A bug in the latest Windows 11 update has removed the Copilot AI assistant from some devices.

💘 Microsoft acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix. Affected users are advised to reinstall Copilot from the Microsoft Store and pin it back to the taskbar manually.

💘 However, many users didn’t bother. Instead, they welcomed this unexpected “feature” and joked about fearing Copilot’s return.

💘 Microsoft is currently developing an integrated version of the AI assistant—so far, only a web version is available. Meanwhile, the company is preparing a Copilot update that, according to rumors, could put it in direct competition with OpenAI’s products.
