🧠 Who built ‘foundation’ for AI

Two scientists, Geoffrey Hinton and John Hopfield, were awarded the Nobel Prize → in physics for their foundational work in artificial neural networks, a key element of today's artificial intelligence.

Their research, which began in the 1980s, has enabled AI systems to learn from data by mimicking brain processes.

However, Hinton, often called the “Godfather of AI,” has expressed regret over his contributions, citing concerns about the risks posed by AI. Despite the breakthroughs, Hinton warns of potential dangers if the technology falls into the wrong hands.
