Uzbek civil servant and sports functionary Otabek Umarov published a photo → with Pavel Durov. He stated that it was a great honor to host Pavel and his loved ones, including his brother Nikolai:
Our country has a special warmth towards this service, as Telegram is more than the number one messenger for us. With its help we not only stay in touch with loved ones, but also learn news, manage business, and find the goods and services needed.
According to Umarov, "it is a great pleasure to see personally" that Durov's environment is "not only professionals of the highest level, but also open-minded people".
The official expressed hope that the impressions from the trip and communication with ordinary users will inspire them to new technological solutions.
