🦾 Sanctuary AI Unveils 7th-Gen Phoenix
Vancouver-based company Sanctuary AI → has announced the launch of its seventh-generation humanoid robot, Phoenix, less than a year after its previous model.
The latest version features improved operational efficiency, enhanced visual and tactile perception, and expanded range of motion in the wrists, hands, and elbows. Developers have managed to reduce the time needed for the robot to learn new tasks to under 24 hours, a significant improvement from previous versions, where the training process took a week.
Additionally, cost-effective materials and miniaturized systems have lowered weight and improved energy consumption, making Phoenix 7 the fastest and smartest model yet. Improved software and hardware features have made the robot more akin to human behavior, bringing the company closer to creating a truly human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots.
