🦾 Mercedes-Benz Testing Apollo Humanoid Robot in Manufacturing

Mercedes-Benz has partnered with robotics company Apptronik → to introduce humanoid robots into their production facilities, aiming to automate physically demanding, repetitive, and dull tasks in the manufacturing process.

The 160-pound Apollo robot will assist human workers by delivering assembly kits and inspecting vehicle components on the production line. The collaboration between Apptronik and Mercedes-Benz is focused on exploring the potential applications of Apollo in automotive settings, without the need for a complete facility redesign.
