Cars were submerged under water and streets were turned into turbulent rivers in Israeli cities over the weekend after torrential rains and cold weather hit the nation, causing flash floods.

A neighborhood in the Israeli city of Lod, home to about 18,000 people, was completely cut off by flooding. Local authorities warned residents that the only way in or out of the area was by train.
