Dubai switched off its most famous attraction for five months.

The Dubai Fountain fell silent in April 2025 — the lake drained, the floor rebuilt, the lighting and sound stripped out and replaced.
It came back on 1 October. Jets still reach 140 metres, the choreography now run with robotics.
Watching it costs nothing. It never has.

The most expensive thing in Downtown is also the only free one.
