Drupal update and error resolution with Opigno LMS - Upwork: We are looking for someone who has at least 3-5 years real world experience with Drupal 7 and/or 8, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, website migration and knowledge of some system administration. The candidate will work closely with our Creative and Web Director, reporting updates so we can communicate the progress of the project with our client.
The project:
A website we manage uses the Opigno LMS plugin for their learning course service. The system/database and files are bulky (large video files and database) and throws out errors when the PHP is updated from 7.4.27 to anything higher and would like this to be resolved.
We require someone to update the Drupal Core and any plugins necessary along with resolving the errors that are produced (which could be resolved with the updates).
Currently, the site is duplicated in 2 locations. One is being used by students and the other is basically used as a test site for updates. The test site will eventually be used as the main site in the very near future providing we can update successfully and minimize errors. We will also need to update the database being used by students since their course progress is stored there and not on the test database.
The Candidate:
▪ Able to show samples of current work with PHP and Drupal projects.
▪ A good understanding of the Drupal codebase, coding standards, core and plugin updates, and theme development best practices.
▪ Experience with migration processes pertaining to Drupal.
▪ Advanced proficiency with PHP, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
▪ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to provide timely updates.
