One of the greatest opportunities to strengthen the health sector lies within the health workforce itself: two-thirds of health workers are women.
 
By supporting health workers with training, decent working conditions, decent pay and leadership roles, we can improve gender equality and support countries on their journey towards #HealthForAll.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all women, and especially to my female colleagues and health workers who are saving lives every day.
